The privacy of our visitors to timbaderonline.com is important to us.
At timbaderonline.com, we recognize that the privacy of your personal information is important. Below is information on what types of personal information we receive and collect when you use and visit timbaderonline.com, and how we safeguard your information. We will never sell your personal information to third parties.
Log Files
As with most other websites, we collect and use the data contained in log files. The information in the log files includes your IP (internet protocol) address, your ISP (internet service provider, such as AOL), the browser you used to visit our site (such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Firefox), the time you visited our site and which pages you visited throughout our site.
We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioural metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, visit the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Cookies and Web Beacons
Cookies are small pieces of data, stored in text files, that are stored on your computer or other devices when websites are loaded in a browser. They are widely used to remember you and your preferences, either for a single visit (through a session cookie) or for multiple repeat visits (using a persistent cookie). They ensure a consistent and efficient experience for visitors and perform essential functions, such as allowing users to register and remain logged in.
Cookies may be set by the site that you are visiting (known as first-party cookies), or by other websites that serve up content on that site (third-party cookies).
As part of updates to policies of services such as Google Analytics, in response to European GDPR regulations, you may be prompted to accept the use of cookies on this site.
We use cookies to store information, such as your personal preferences when you visit our site. This could include only showing you a popup once in your visit, or the ability to login to some of our features, such as forums. If you become an email subscriber (for example, by registering for a free resource or purchasing a product through the site), we may track your activity on the website by combining cookies with your email address (please see the Email Subscription section below, for details).
We may also use third-party advertisements on timbaderonline.com to support our site. Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on our site, which will also send these advertisers (such as Google through the Google AdSense program) information including your IP address, your ISP, the browser you used to visit our site, and in some cases, whether you have Flash installed. This is generally used for geotargeting purposes (showing New York real estate ads to someone in New York, for example) or showing certain ads based on specific sites visited (such as showing cooking ads to someone who frequents cooking sites).
Google AdSense uses your information to personalise adverts to make ads more useful to you. You may switch off personalisation in your Google settings: if you switch off personalisation you will still see adverts, but they may not be as relevant to you. For more information, see this page.
We also run occasional advertising campaigns through third-party programs such as Google Ads (formerly “Google AdWords”). We may implement specific features of Google Ads to track website activity via advertising cookies on this site for the purposes of Ad campaigns. This may include Interest Based Advertising, Remarketing with Google Analytics, Google Display Network Impression Reporting and Integrated services that require Google Analytics to collect data via cookies and identifiers.
Google provides tools to enable opt-out from advertising and cookie tracking, such as the one provided here. For more information on your choices regarding advertising and to opt out of certain services, you can visit the Digital Advertising Alliance and Your Online Choices in the EU.
Current advertisers include: Google Adsense, Google Ads.

Affiliate Links
Tim Bader is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and the iTunes affiliate program, operated by the Performance Horizon Group. These are affiliate advertising programs designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com and the iTunes music and app stores.
We may use third-party Affiliate links, such as Amazon Associates or iTunes Affiliate links, which place a cookie on your computer when you click on the Affiliate links or Amazon Special links through to the related website or application, such as Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.com, iTunes or the Apple App Store on Mac, iPad or iPhone. This allows the Affiliate company or Amazon to record if you make any purchases via the Affiliate or Special link. Affiliate links, Amazon Associates links and iTunes Affiliate links use “non-personally identifiable information”. They do NOT track personal information about you, such as your name, email address, physical address, telephone number, social security number, bank account numbers or credit card numbers.
As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. If you click on an affiliate link and purchase a product from the relevant affiliate site within a specific time period (depending on the affiliate program policy, 24 hours in the case of Amazon), then I will earn a small commission from the sale. You won’t have to pay anything extra but can feel good about supporting this website and my ministry!
Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.
Disabling Cookies
You can choose to disable or selectively turn off our cookies or third-party cookies in your browser settings, or by managing preferences in programs such as Norton Internet Security. However, this can affect how you are able to interact with our site as well as other websites. This could include the inability to log in to services or programs, such as logging into forums or accounts. For example, you may be unable to log in using your Facebook or Google account in order to leave a comment on a blog post, or your previous login will not be remembered if you try to leave another comment, at a later date.
Deleting cookies does not mean you are permanently opted out of any advertising program. Unless you have settings that disallow cookies, the next time you visit a site running the advertisements, a new cookie will be added.
Personally Identifiable Information
If you subscribe to the timbaderonline email list or purchase a product through the website, or via a payment provider (I currently use Gumroad, WooCommerce and related services such as Stripe, Apple Pay, and PayPal), you agree to provide basic details about yourself.
If you reside in the EU and you subscribe or make a purchase, you understand that the associated information may be recorded and held securely outside the EU. Currently, I use FluentCRM for my email service and Gumroad and WooCommerce for payments. Gumroad is located in the USA, and WooCommerce and FluentCRM are integrated directly into the website, which is hosted in the UK. If you follow a link from this website to a third-party website, such as Amazon, then you will be subject to the third party’s terms, privacy notices, and payment processing.
We will only collect the personally identifiable information necessary for the operation of your subscriber account, or completion of the relevant purchase. We will share your personally identifiable information with the applicable service, for the purpose of operating that service only. We do not share information with other third parties.
When subscribing to my email list, your details include your email address and optionally, your name. Other optional data items may also be collected, such as geolocation and IP address information (depending on your browser settings). Your data will be held for the duration of your subscription, and for a period of time after you unsubscribe (retention period is determined by the email service provider policy and configuration settings). You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the special links at the bottom of emails.
For purchases, you will be required to enter only those details necessary for processing the financial transaction, such as your country, region, postal/zip code, or address. In most cases, purchases are completed by our payment provider (currently either Stripe, Apple Pay or PayPal) or Amazon, and timbaderonline does not record or hold the associated personal information.
Your Data, GDPR And Data Deletion
Under GDPR regulations, you have the right to have your personally identifiable information removed from any third-party services. Currently, in order to do so, you must contact me at my timbaderonline.com email address, so I can arrange this for you. However, please be aware that data deleted in this way cannot be retrieved and some aspects of the operation of this website may no longer work as expected.
